John Woodley

Originally from Newcastle, I’ve lived in Hexham for 25 years with my wife and 2 girls. I’ve been working with wood from an early age, but have only been displaying and selling my craft as Stonehaugh Woodcraft for the last 4 years along with my good friend Liam Reid.

I enjoy working with local, native woods, taking inspiration from my surroundings and allowing the wood to speak for itself.

I’ve been working with people with special needs for the last 20 years and enjoy doing basic woodwork classes for them.I have previously sold some items in a gallery in Corbridge, but have switched venues to be amongst other crafts people with a strong network system.
